We came to Shady Grove in November of 2012 after one premature delivery and four miscarriages. Like everyone else we were terrified of what this journey might reveal. From the very first visit, we were reassured that this was the right step to take. Dr. Mottla and his team at Annapolis were so very kind to us and supportive. They explained everything we would be doing and why. After being told we were "normal and healthy", we went with the least invasive step and tried timed ovulation with Clomid. The first time I had to have my sister give me the shot...while my brother in law held my hand. (We are a close family.) Thanks to two bouts of a nasty stomach virus it took 3 rounds of Clomid but the 3rd time was the charm. My husband and I were ecstatic when the pregnancy test came back positive in March of 2013. The next nine months were pretty scary as we successfully passed milestone after milestone. We'd never made it past 17 weeks. All of a sudden in was Thanksgiving and I was already about 3cm dilated. We had to coax him but our little boy, Eli Aaron, was born at 9:36pm on December 13, 2013.

While we wish that we hadn't waited so long to go to Shady Grove, we wouldn't have our perfect little guy here today. We wouldn't trade him for the world.

We also can't speak highly enough of Shady Grove and our experience here. You gave us a miracle. We are forever grateful.
